AU Successfully Organizes ISCDT

AU hosted the International Scientific Conference “ Digital Transformation in Business: Challenges and New Opportunities (ISCDT)” on its campus, and succeeded in its aim of bringing together researchers, scholars, and policymakers to present and discuss their research on the frontiers of knowledge of selected topics in the field of digital transformation in business.  

The conference was held under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Khaled Mahdi, Secretary General of the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development and jointly organized by the College of Business at the Australian University, Central Queensland University, and the Institute of Economic Sciences in Serbia, under the sponsorship of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS). 

Since the conference was hybrid, held in person and online, participants had the chance to attend from Asia, Europe, and Australia. In total, the conference witnessed the participation of 30 presenters from 8 countries presenting the results of their research and sharing their expertise. Among the speakers, the conference included three keynote speakers: Prof. Stephen Colbran, Head of the College of Law, Criminology & Justice at Central Queensland University, Dr. Marko Rankovic, Deputy CEO, COO, Member of the Board and Executive Director of Regional Card Processing Center – RPC, Raiffeisen Bank International, and Prof. Yusaf Talal, executive Dean of Higher Education and Emerging Technologies at Aviation Australia, Queensland, and adjunct Professor at Central Queensland University.  

Commenting on the conference, Dr. Farid Abdallah, Acting Dean of the College of Business at AU, said: The purpose of this conference was to provide a platform for academicians from different parts of the world to share their research ideas and findings in the field of digital transformation and to afford researchers with the opportunity of research cooperation and networking. The conference comes as a step towards the accomplishment of the goals determined in the research strategy at the College of Business. It is the first in a series of research-related initiatives developed by the College and a stepping-stone towards more advanced conferences and academic symposiums.”
