AU collaborated with YPA to Host Schools Debate competition finals

On Saturday, March 4th, the Australian University (AU) hosted the 4th Youth Creativity League finals in collaboration with the Youth Public Authority.  

The Youth Creativity League, organized by the Youth Public Authority, consists of numerous competitions in various fields of sciences and arts aiming to help youth develop their skills and spread a culture of creativity and innovation among them. The debate part of the competition was open to Kuwaiti youth between the ages of 7 and 18, including three levels such as beginner, intermediate, and advanced.  

The finals of the competition were hosted on AU Campus, witnessing the attendance of overall 45 students from different public and private schools. Their performance was judged by a committee consisting of 17 members of the Kuwait National Debate Team.  

Commenting on the importance of the happening and AU’s attitude towards developing youth skills, Manager of Teaching and Learning center at AU, Ms. Rola Mourdaa said: “align with our corporate social responsibility, we were honored to host this competition on campus. At AU, we do not only care about our students but also, we extend an arm to support promising developing talents from schools. AU stands to serve education in Kuwait in different aspects including debate as we believe this skill helps develop the personality of students in addition to widening their scope of thinking which will foster their communication and critical thinking skills. We wish Kuwait’s youth success and a brighter future.”
