AU celebrates 2023-2024 Graduation Ceremony

AU proudly celebrated the graduation of its diploma and bachelor’s students for the class of 2023-2024 in a graduation ceremony held under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nader Al Jalal. The event also was graced by the presence of the Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the Council of Private Universities Mr. Adel Al-Badr, and the Australian Ambassador to Kuwait H.E. Ms. Melissa Kelly.

AU President. Prof. Isam Zabalawi, highlighted the significance of this year’s ceremony coinciding with the university’s 20th anniversary, saying: “From humble beginnings, AU has evolved into one of Kuwait’s premier educational institutions, fostering human capital and advancing higher education.” Prof. Zabalawi further noted AU’s expanding academic programs, global partnerships and international accreditations, which reinforce its standing as a leader in higher education locally and internationally.

From her end, H.E. Ms. Melissa Kelly emphasized the university’s role in strengthening ties between Australia and Kuwait, as the two nations also celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relations. She praised AU’s partnerships with Australian institutions and its commitment to applied education, preparing graduates for future careers tailored to Kuwait’s needs.

Representing the graduates, Khazna Al-Azmi, a bachelor’s degree graduate, described AU as a second home that supported students academically and personally. Diploma graduate Reem Al-Jahmani expressed gratitude to the university’s professors for helping students realize their potential, emphasizing the resilience and growth they achieved throughout their journey.

Worth mentioning that AU marks two decades of excellence, while it remains committed to innovation, academic growth, and preparing students to meet the demands of an ever-evolving global workforce.
