AU Celebrates 2023/2024 Graduation Ceremony

AU recently marked the joyous occasion of its 2023/2024 Graduation Ceremony, celebrating the accomplishments of the 21st batch of diploma students and the 15th batch of bachelor’s students. The event, graced by 350 graduates, took place at the Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel and Resort. 

Under the esteemed patronage of Dr. Adel Al-Manae, the Minister of Education, Higher Education, and Scientific Research, and in the presence of Eng. Adel Al-Badr, the Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the Council of Private Universities, the ceremony was a testament to academic achievement and dedication.  

Dr. Saad Al-Omari, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees at AU, expressed in his opening speech the university’s commitment to advancing its educational journey. He emphasized AU’s dedication to digital transformation and artificial intelligence programs, highlighting ongoing infrastructure development to support these initiatives. 

Dr. Al-Omari underscored AU’s strong belief in social responsibility, unveiling plans for a comprehensive community awareness program aligned with Kuwat’s vision for the future. his advice to graduates included a call for continuous learning in a rapidly changing world.  

Prof. Isam Zabalawi, the President of AU, addressed the graduates, acknowledging their perseverance through challenges. He credited the support of families, friends, teachers, and strategic partners, particularly the Central Queensland University in Australia, for preparing the graduates for academic success. Prof. Zabalawi emphasized the skills acquired during their academic journey, including scientific thinking, critical analysis, communication proficiency, and mastery of research tools, all contributing to the refinement of their creativity. 

Australian Ambassador H.E Melissa Kelly reflected on the global challenges faced by students during their studies, noting that these challenges foster flexibility in dealing with complex issues. She expressed pride in AU’s continuous partnership with Australia, commending the graduates for their world-class education and unique personal skills, including courage, flexibility, and kindness. Her Excellency concluded by offering support to the graduates as they face the future, equipped with knowledge and innovation.
