AU 2022 Career Fair ends successfully

The Alumni and Career Placement Center at AU successfully held its annual Career Fair on Sunday and Monday October 16th & 17th 2022. AU Career Fair witnessed a tremendous success with the participation of 60 reputable companies from various sectors in Kuwait, bringing together employers with prospective employees for networking, employment, and internship opportunities.
The Career Fair kicked-off by an opening ceremony conducted in the presence of guests of honor Dr. Mishal Al Rubaie, Director General of the Public Authority of Youth, Eng. Majed Al Mutairi, Member of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Society of Engineers, and Her Excellency Ms. Melissa Kelly, Australian Ambassador-designate to Kuwait. Following the opening ceremony, a tour to the fair was conducted, along with the distribution of appreciation trophies to event sponsors, and appreciation certificates to all exhibitors.
Commenting on the event, Prof. Isam Zabalawi, President of AU, noted the importance of the Career Fair for students and graduates to network and meet in person various employers in Kuwait and get firsthand experience regarding the demands of the labor market.
Prof. Zabalawi further added that the Fair also is valuable to university’s instructors, as meeting key recruiters helps them develop curriculums according to the skills sought after in the recent job market.
