On May 21st, students from the Civil Engineering program went on a field trip to the New Maternity Hospital. This facility is located in the Sabah Medical Area. Students went on a walking tour around the site. They explored the various hospital buildings and noted how the buildings are connected by steel bridges. Students were also given the opportunity to learn about the myriad of structural components, such as precast and cast in situ concrete that have been utilized during the course of the project.
