As part of AU’s continued commitment to provide a healthy and safe environment for its students and staff to thrive, the Health, Safety and Security Department at AU organized a series of fire safety awareness sessions in collaboration with the Kuwait Fire Force on campus for students and staff members at the university’s School of Aviation.
The awareness sessions were conducted by Major Mohammed Asiri from the Kuwait Fire Force, where he went over the different aspects of fire safety including correct usage of fire extinguishers, introduction to short circuits, and correct evacuation protocol among other important theorical and practical lessons.
Commenting on the sessions, Mr. Abdulmohsin Al Rifai, Senior Manager of Health, Safety and Security, said: “The Health, Safety and Security Department is keen to organize such events periodically in order to ensure a culture of safety on campus and ensure a proper response in the event of any emergency, god forbid.”
