AU hosted an Emergency Response session on Thursday, 10 October 2024, on campus, to raise awareness about safety measures and teach AU community emergency essentials. The event was held in coordination with the Kuwait Fire Force, Ministry of Health, Kuwait International Occupational Safety and Health Company and the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP).
During the session, attendees learned about essential safety measures and emergency response protocols. Following an introductory speech by Ms. Mariam Al Maraghi, Manager of the Health and Safety department at AU, the event began with a keynote speech on “Health in the University Environment” by Eng. Hanan Al Mohammad, representing ASSP, followed by speeches by Paramedic Batol Khalf demonstrating First Aid and Emergency Response, and Captain Mohamad Assiri about Fire Safety.
